This two-part class will teach you to create beautiful mandala designs using a layeringtechnique taught to me by Australian Quilter Rachelle Denneny. While Rachelle finishes herpieces with a machine, I will teach you my own design and method, using hand sewing for adifferent effect.
The first class will break down the process and guide you through breaking down the design forapplique to auditioning and preparing the individual applique pieces for layering. You will need the time between classes to prepare all your pieces. Then we reconvene and I show you how to put it all together and sew it into a solid unit before you applique it on to your backing fabric.
